Is there anyone in the Chicago area that does autocross? Is so when and where is the next event? Thx

I autocross with the Indiana northwest region scca and our next event is June 14 at the Portage IN. high school and another on the 28th at the Majestic Star casino and hotel. if you want to go you can find more information at www.inr-scca.org Another region that may be a little closer for you would be the Chicago region scca www.scca-chicago.com and it looks like their next autocross event will be July 26 at the route 66 raceway.
Also, if you plan on attending an event I would suggest you to pre-register since the fee will go up if you sign up on the day of the event.
It's always nice to see some more third gens do more than just a straight line.

South Bend Indiana region SCCA is having a 2 day event this weekend at Grissom Air base in Peru (10 minutes from here). This is the best track and the fastest auto-X track you will ever race on. If you are a non SCCA member it will cost you about 80 to run the 2 days. Hotels around here are pretty cheap and a lot of good ones to choose from. If you come down early Friday there is a street car night friday at the local dragstrip that is 2 miles from the auto-x.
