All vehicles must meet IHRA safety regulations by passing a simple tech inspection before racing. Racers must have a valid driver’s license. Drivers must wear a helmet with a rating of SNELL 90 or higher if running 14:00 and faster. Helmets are mandatory if you drive a convertible. Cars, trucks, and motorcycles are all welcome.
1)DOT tires are required
2)Roll Bar/ Roll Cage: A minimum of a 6 point roll bar is mandatory on all convertibles running 11:00 to 13:49.
3)Proper race attire required for all competitors.
SATURDAY: Test and Tune
KING of the HILL
SUNDAY: All competitors will get at least two time trials.
Pre Stage, Stage and Green Light only will be displayed at the
Start Line.
Time Slips will not be handed out during qualifying.
No Times displayed on vehicles
ELIMINATIONS: Your” Dial In” will be set by your time slips into the computer as you approach the water box.
Handicap start on Green Light.
Break out in effect. Winner moves on, loser to Test and Tune
Technically it's still a bracket race but you don't have to do any dial ins. Make your best pass possible during time trials and your best pass will be your dial in. Run quicker than that in eliminations and you lose. As a typical race day on a Sunday, you'll always run quicker in the morning with the cooler air. By afternoon, everyone usually runs slower in the heat so your chances of breaking out are slim unless you really screw up the time trial runs.
The track should be prepped on Saturday night and on Sunday. If you have no traction on Friday night, try coming out on a race event like this one.
Bracket cars who wish to T&T or run King of the Hill during the weekend are to pit at the north end of the hot loop all weekend and enter the staging lanes where the bikes normally go. There is no lane 4 staging lane priority for the drag cars this weekend. | | |
