Re: What stall speed to go with?

min 2500 but a 3000 would be better. with the 700r4 you can get a lockup converter so highway cruising will still be good

Re: What stall speed to go with?

A full size street converter with a 2600-2800 would work well. It would retain the factory lock up and can be bought under $300.

Re: What stall speed to go with?

The camshaft is going to want a stall speed around 3000 for street strip. For full race 3500-4000 would be better.

You diff gears are not matched for the camshaft or recommended stall speed and will hold back a lot of performance.

x2 - 212@ .050, I would think Stephen is shooting a little high, but then again (performance wise) more stall would help off-set the less than optimal gearing.

Re: What stall speed to go with?

Thanks guys for all the input and help. I know the diff gears are too high going to be replacing rear end over winter. Probably a strange unit with 3:73 gears. Thanks again!!
