Supposedly 400 cars entered, we're going to tow out a buddies car and let him mess around with that crap. So many guys that signed up have been mislead thinking it's a Pink's deal and it's not, just the 8yr old shirt robbing bald guy by himself flapping his wings on the starting line, that is it...."armdrop live was designed for YOU to record video of the event and post it on youtube"
I talked with our track manager this weekend and the pit side will be for competition cars ONLY, each person will get 20' wide pit spots, no more, in order to fit everybody in there. Spectator side (tower side) is where the general public will have to park, butt they can then walk across and into the racer pit area. Once parking has filled up on the tower side of the track they spoke with the folks down the road for overflow parking, so i dont know if they're going to have a ferry van coming and going or if they expect people to walk the 1/2mile from the first location and close to a mile from the second location? I never asked about that so i have no idea, but i'm going to assume it's a walk yourself situation.
Supposedly chicken wing wont be there until Saturday and had all kinds of ridiculous demands for him to show up in the first place, so Friday the track is going to put together a big gambler race so the folks showing up will actually have something to do....this is what i've been told by management anyways, and like anything else with these circus acts, it is subject to change so we'll see. running/racing 400 cars in a single day with 2 qualifying and then elimins on saturday sounds fishey to me, esspecially given the fact it's getting late in the season, so parts will be worn, and oil down are inevitable.
i was at pinks all out indy and i had a blast but not because of the event, but the people who showed up and I got to BS and party with. The thing I didn't like was twenty thousand + people walking around the racer pit area, leaning up against cars, spilling their beer all around my work area, etc. When I'm wrenching on the car to try and hit the next qualifier I don't need to explain a hundred times how I don't have some weird ford motor with a carb on top in my camaro

I hate pinks and pinks all out or arm drop. Chicken man is trying to reinvent racing for TV ratings. He has no concept on real racing.
Pinks has junk running down the strip with drivers arguing about car length advantages (bracket racing). Pinks All Out may get 400 cars to show up but if you don't run in the 16 or 32 car ET field they're looking for, you don't race.
It may look good on TV but it's not racing that most real racers would prefer to do.
Payout.....well, the Zmax winner last i knew still has'nt recieved his stuff.
As for this armdrop BS, there's no set payout....the paperwork our manager has says chicken man is to decide to whom and HOW MUCH is going to be paid....so like EVERY event this guy puts on, everything is up in the air with the actual racers being the last to know WTF is going on...hence i bought a spot knowing i was'nt going to run my junk in it, and i was planning to peddle it off and try to make $5-10 to a desperate soembody, but my buddy wanted to run it so i just sold the spot at cost:(
Another friend has a 67 mustang his wife races and i guess i gotta shake it down for them friday night and i told him, if i'm shaking it down and the rear suspension is working (they moved some bars around to get the tire chirp out) I'm going to race it if they put on a gamblers :) i have to call him cuz i guess his wife is'nt coming down at all now due to their son having health issues so i guess i'm now piloting that beast that weekend!! Gotta luv it
woooo i'm doing some work on a mustang thursday and i'll be driving it friday night. its the fuel altered's in eddyville this weekend, should be a great show
