new best ET for the tired L98

I don't think there is any more ET to shave off without putting more money into it.

Not bad, my carbed 160K L98 did 101 MPH but at 13.87. Even had a spun bearing!

He is using a 150 shot...

Very impressive. What all do you have done to be running a 13.3 on motor? I looked at your car domain... With stock heads, intake, and cam, that is VERY impressive.

I plan to hit consistent high 12's with my car, then I am going to snag a 100 shot to get me into the 11's hopefully.

Re: new best ET for the tired L98

that 13.3 run was kinda a fluke. It only did it once. Its a consistent 13.5 car on the motor. Heres a vid that goes through the whole history of the car. Watch it in HQ.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKvzgDWZ0G0
I got footage on there from when it was running 14.6

For one thing, at 11.49, you need a roll bar.

11.99 used to be my goal back when roll bars were needed under 12.0

Does that mean you already have the roll bar? Couldn't see it in your photos, and didn't see any mention of it in your write-ups. May have missed it, though.

Not yet. I still got most of the interior out, so im definately gonna do it before i put a new, (black) interior in it and make it nice again. I have a good buddy that works at a welding shop that specializes in roll-bars for Miatas and MG's etc. Do you know of any schematics or plans available on the net with dimensions?

Think I saw you at the race for Day at Drags on Saturday. I had the black 88 camaro. You should get a new set of heads along with a nice converter and then try to break the 11.50 mark

Yeah, you're Mitch right? I put a vid up for you on youtube i think... I only race it once a year as of late. Im thinking about finally taking off a valve cover and getting some light weight roller rockers with a bigger ratio, along with some new springs. This should give me a few HP for another .2 maybe?
Anybody have ideas for my next mod? I can only spend about $500 max.

1.6 rockers helped on my L98. That and abit of a tune and I think your car will move out well.

Re: new best ET for the tired L98

a good converter will be around the 500 mark. I went from a 2500 to a 3500 vigilante converter and dropped .3 And it was worth every penny, and still works great on the streets
