Thanks, I will keep them in mind if I go with a SC.
Is that with a zero deck height? If so, then with the correct gasket, then I could get my quench closer to were it needs to be.

Also needed a 12.99 at Pinks All Out last year. With the gears & converter (and water pump and rims) I had last year, the 100 shot put me right around 12.0, which ended up being the class they picked.
Yeah, I remember your Pinks All Out post. Thats why I thought of the 12.0 call. You do real well to be at your altitude.
Hows the LSx swap comming along? And are you going to spray that motor?

So you built my motor, put in all the T&T time and inspected my parts for me!
Im running the stock balancer and timing tab. And no the ring on the balancer hasnt slipped and the tab isnt bent. The cam was degreed and was in spec.
I made runs at 34*/ 36*/38* and at 40* but the car keep picking up. Yes it might use less gas on the street with less timing, but it runs faster at the track at 40*. It has great street manners and has no problem starting. The plugs look fine and I hear or see no sign of knock.

I will give you the fact that I am running the stock deck height of 9.025.
My gasket is a stock GM composite at .028 and the pistons are the stock flattops with valve relief. The heads cc out at 60cc. This make my quench less efficient. Thus making combustion time a little longer.
We started with the stock 9.8-1 compression and ended up around 10.3-1.
Re: 150 shot N2O , Will the motor hold and what change in ET?
Yeah i was assuming .041" gasket and zero decked block. JE piston 170817. It will do 383 with 6" rod and give 9.1 to 1 compression with above criteria and 60cc chambers.
Thats a good street/strip type compression ratio for boost.
IF you go 5.7 rods they have a 383 piston 131631 that has 31cc dish for 8.85 to 1 with zero deck/.041 gasket and 60cc head chamber
