Alright fellas, i have gotten down to two tire sizes for my hard top car.
Some of you know the details, but for those that dont, it will be a 461 CI big block, square port heads with about 10 to 1, the cam is a comp XE300HR. Looking at 600 HP give or take. The trans is a beefed T56 6 speed with a centerforce DF clutch. The rear is a Moser 12 bolt with 4.30 gears. This is a dedicated street car with the night and weekend use and the streip action for tuning and fun.
Now, the rear wheels are centerline convo pros, but they are only 8.5 wide in the rear, i am selling them to have my rear stockers widened from 15x7 to 15x10.
The two i am looking at are the 315/60/15 MT ET street radials, or the 325/50/15 ET street radial.
I am leaning to the 325 since it is what i always wanted and i should have to do less mods to make it fit on the car. But the taller 315 sounds good since it is taller.
So far, i am stuck between the two, but ever so slightly leaning to the 325 still.
That 315 is almost 30" tall. You'll have a hard time getting it under the fenders. The 325 is just under 28" tall and will fit a lot easier than the 315. Both will require some sort of metal fabrication to fit properly depending on the backspacing.
With the 4.30 gears, the 325's would be a better choice.
