If you watch the link in my second thread above, you can see the inserted video by itself with the audio.
The grandstand shot wasn't the best. It was shaky at the beginning and you can still see it as the video scrolls in. By the time I'm at the end of the track, the video was useless so I scrolled it out again. Because the quality of the video wasn't all that great, using it as an insert was the best way to do it. Syncing the 2 videos took a little doing but it's close enough if not exact.
The audio wasn't bad as you could hear the cars going past but you could also hear the commentary from the people filming it. My car does sound pretty cool from the grandstands. Gotta love those race mufflers. The best part is a woman squealing just as I launch, pulling the wheels. That part I wouldn't mind using if I could.
My best video was from 3 years ago. I had a good quality miniDV camera to use. I made 4 passes in one day, all in the same lane. I shot 2 runs from inside the car at different camera angles then got 2 different people to shoot the other 2 runs. I cut and pasted the 4 videos into one run making it look like it was shot with multiple cameras. The timeline is correct. You just need to ignore the different cars beside me.
The car also looked a little different 3 years ago.
