What a week last week. Last minute deciding to try to make an event, spit the driveshaft Wednesday night making a test hit on the street(I llive out in the middle of nowhere), all-nighter Thursday to make some test hits at the local track Friday eve, then bust butt all Sat morning to drag over to PBIR for the Pro-Series heads-up race. Barely got there in time to set the valves, change the plugs and make the final qualifying shot. No n2o even in the car, motor really doesn't like the tight converter, 7.01 in the 1/8 hahaha. Puts me in the last qualifying position, so I get #1 first round.
Back to thrashing in the pits, put some baseline n2o jets in for a 225ish hp hit, flow the fuel system, get the bottle filled, get some more fuel, add a relay for the t-brake de-activation of the n20.
1.26 60ft, light came on at 7200, and that was all she wrote. I went to shift and it was already idling. Throttle stud broke off the side of the carb. Oh well, car felt good, and I didn't really have a chance anyway. Get the slip to find out it went 1.26 60'; you've never seen a guy loose a race and get out of the car more fired up. lol The entire tune up(motor/n2o and chassis) is just the base-line guestimates. The 10.5's on the back are 5+ years old and have at least 40-50 runs on them, probably more.
Now to find a 1.1x 60ft on these tires, then throw one of my new sets on and up to around a 350hp shot!
I'm trying to get some pics/video, not sure who has what footage yet.

I moved the IC. It's still roughly the same length but I moved it from below the AS line to above it and went from 7 psi in the tires to 8 psi. My 12 way single shocks on the rear were set on 4 then 3 on the 2 passes but need to be stiffer with the IC above the AS so the next time I can get to the track, I'll try 5 or 6. My SPA1 struts in the front were set at full soft but then to try to keep the front end a little lower, I gave them 1/2 turn to slow down the extension.
With snow in the forecast for this weekend, that might not be until next spring.

It's amazing how many ways a good suspension/tire will work, yet if you really set in a tune it how much you can find. - Good luck with it. I don't miss the cold weather at all, and we get to race year-round.
Looks like the linkage broke before I even made it to 60'. It's also hitting the bars/tires a bit harsh and unloading a little. - I'm certain I can find a 1.1x on these old tires, then swap to better.

Definitely feels good. It's been a while since I've mad any real passes down the track; basically none in this car.
I'll have it back out in the next couple weeks for some more testing, then up to Bradenton for the ORTC race. - I'm gonna find that 1.1x 60' in the next couple passes, then see how low I can get it. It should run low 5's in the 1/8th with this n2o combo.
To be competitive in Outlaw 10.5, you need to run mid-low 4's. I'm currently running Outlaw 632(n2o only, up to 640ci) which makes low 5's competitive, but far from the top of the class. The current record for O/L 632 is 4.70.
I'm not a nitrous guy. I have some friends who are involved with getting the O/L 632 class going and since I had the plate kit I'm helping as I can to get the class going. Once I get some other projects done and thus get the funding together, I'll finish up the blower combo and take a swing at O/L 10.5.
No one yet in true Outlaw 10.5 trim has run in the 3's. A couple of the Xtreme Ten Five guys have, but that's an ADRL class that consists of pro-mod/pro-stock chassis cars running on our 10.5W's. - As for door slammers in general, Scruggs has been 3.6's in his pro-mod, and he does not hold the record.

The radial/stock suspension guys run 1.2's, some 1.1's. I need a mid-low 1.1 to be with the program, but I'm shooting for a 1.0x's. Only a few people have cut 1.0's on 10.5's.
