Clutch went out, dissapointing day at track with both cars. Kinda long

Had been pumped the entire weekend for what looked like a perfect race day for me, decided to take both cars Vega and the Firebird. First pass take Vega, car was cold, go to get on transbrake and it bogged and stalled - pretty embarressing Never broke beam, restrated and took off to what seemed like a great pass, get to end and had no time due to sitting at line to long. Hurry back for Firebird, launch hard and get alot of wheelspin - 1.62 60ft 11.16 @ 123.7, was dissapointed with that being air seemed so good.
Next line up Vega again, get a good pass - only 9.15 @ 148, both cars MPH same as all previous warmer humid days! So it was eveident I was probably not hitting a high 10 on bird N/A or 8.99 in Vega - decided to park Vega. Next pass in Bird, decided to spray it - come out very hard getting a little squirly on 1-2 shift, 2-3 shift tach goes to 7, let off get back in, grab 4th same deal, let off get back in and ease it into 5th.. 1.52 60ft, best of year, ran 10.43 @ 134 letting off 3 times!!!!!!! Pretty mad it could not hold out for that pass - probably 10.2 maybe a 10.1, 1/8 MPH was slower than my N/A run due to letting off. I though I had been seeing signs of it on the street, but the mickeys are usually spinning lightly on shifts so it was hard to tell.
Not to mad, the spec 3 has lasted me 3yrs of 6000+rpm launches and lots of street abuse and leisure - just wish it had held out for atleast that pass. Wanted to hit 9s with it this year, but need 28" tires first, now a clutch.. Engine in need of rebuild this year to - Blow lots of oil through exhaust and been low oil PSI for 2 years now - but still runs strong and reliable..
Have video but don't know how to load disc file on pc.. Got to see Orr89s TT400 run - its a beast and looks even faster! Congrats to his build!

Sorry for long thread, needed to vent. Still good passes for a pump gasses gear banger, but no where near capabilities.

Actually think I am going to try and go next week with it, Gonna have to dump off the line and not power shift - it may hold, I think I am just setting myself up for dissapointment though.. I have actually given myself anxiety over it, makes me so mad when a good pass goes to sh!t. I was thinking about your car, don't know where your low RPM timing is, but may want to get the lower rpm stuff higher for better response off line and back down as boost builds, may also make the lower rpms richer to build more exhaust heat to help spool quicker- don't know turbos much, but hear exhaust heat helps.. Congrats again man! deffinetly a beast, and that cars not light either. I have your HP at a tad over 700, on initial tune thas killer, but there is another 100 hiding.

Well i got a boost controller, hopefully mess with that thursday as its suppose to be clear. Rain today and tomorrow, i want to tune this car up thursday as best i can and hope to hit 9's on pump gas this upcoming weekend I have no idea how much timing I need to run off idle but I think once my fueling is corrected I think it will launch.

I'd be nervous about that clutch.. i'd probly let it cool down abit when you first get there, then give it all hell on your first pass and hope all is good and shoot for 9's off the bat

It should get very close I am sure, it has 9s in it as it sits I think with some boost earlier and better air.. Couple more lbs for sure will get it.

I will deffinetly not get 9s this year now, no way clutch will hold any more power shifts on nitrous even cold, its slipping N/A power shifting right now.
I may hook nitrous back to ecm so it will come on set MPH again using the TCC output, not sure through.
