New Best

Went to the track tonight to close up my year, and had a good night. The timing system was messed up and they couldn't record 60 ft or MPH, but I ran my best 1/8 mile time 7.56 on motor and factory suspension, goin through the traps at 5300rpm. I'm hoping to get some new full length headers, strut (had a set of trick springs in the garage for a while), and I am going to do ladder bars on a 9 inch. Hoping for 6's with a 125 shot

Re: New Best

That sucks. 60' and MPH are very important to see how well your tuning is. ET alone is just bragging rights.

Re: New Best

Yeah I know it. Which I don't have much to tune since all of my suspension is still all factory. I was planning on changin alot of stuff over this winter, and I wanted some good base numbers since I finally got everything running right. Ah I guess I'll live.

Re: New Best

I ave tried a bunch of different shift points. It seems to like it best at 6. Actually this may sound unreal, but it seems to like it best if I put the shifter in 2nd and let it sift from 1st to second on its own and then shift into drive around 5500. I tend to loose traction going into second if I shift any higher than 6. I wish I had more gear, but the choices with the 10 bolt are not great. I think my rpm restriction is my crappy eshaust and the intake?
