9 second turbo v6

Went to Silverdollar in Reynolds Ga for a buick shootout and made a few 9 second passes. My first pass was a 10.10 @ 128 with a 1.37 60 ft. I added some fuel next pass went 9.995 @ 130 1.37 60ft Then i upped the fuel pressure and the went 9.81 @ 133 1.34 60ft.

Re: 9 second turbo v6

There was a GN running in SuperStock on the west coast a few years ago. He was in the 8's beating all the hemi cars. I can't remember how much boost he was pushing but it was stretching the head bolts and blowing head gaskets.

That's not a bad 60' time for a turbo car. Turbo cars usually have slow 60' times in relation to their MPH and ET.

the 1st Thing I though of was damm if Orr could knock his 60ft down that low he would be deep into the 9's with more fuel and boost also.

Good times! Got to love the V6 turbos! Probably still my favorite cars ever are the GNs, always wanted a late Camaro with a turbo6. Good stuff.

Great Passes!

I need to get my 60' time down... I know my turbo is a bit to big for my combo or my converter is still too tight. (or both) lol.
My 60' is killing my ET.. but I'm making great MPH .. especially for
being on 93pump gas and 17lbs of boost.

What conveter are you using? PTC?

Awsome job!
Scott

Yes its a PTC that was the best money I spent on the car. Get in touch with Dusty over on turbobuiick he's the man. You. Will be able to spool that turbo no problem. By the way I really like your car.

Do you go to the Nationals in Bowling Green? I was planning on going this year but it snuck up on me and I'd already had plans. Been looking forward to going to Bowling Green with my Car for several years. I'm going to try to plan on it this year.
Any chance we can meet up? That'd be cool... Been waiting to hook up with 88ZNX too.
I think we'd all have a great time.
Could you send me a e-mail about the converter? How's it drive on the street?
I've refered some people to PTC before but I don't have their converter in my car since it was a used trans/converter from FL. I had it re-stalled but it's still not quite high enough. I just worry about it being too loose..
I'm also to big of a sissy to use the trans brake so I'm just a big wus. Lol.
Thanks,
Scott
