Side windows don't need to be very thick. My windshield is 3/16". My side windows are only 1/8". Bend the metal framework to pull the Lexan as close to the door as possible. The thinner Lexan will bend a lot easier.

I guess I'll try to bend the framing a lot more and see if that works.But that looks like a lot to bend to get it close enough.
