Didn't know I was going to race him.. .But got up to the tree and there he was... I was poopin in my pants.. Not really But you know... He was wearing a helmet and I was playing some bass.. His car wasn't the cleanest. .And I hear around here if you wash your car you get like 2 sec off your ET....(joke) Get up to the light.. Light turns green and I go on green not yellow,,, opps.. all I hear is his engine and exhuast... then he was gone and I heard mine.. 4 seconds later I cross the line. It was an 1/8 mile, He had an low 8 sec run and I had an flat 11. If only I could stage right I would have a good .5 sec... Thought I'd share

I know how you feel. I was having a good night at the track for my car a few weeks ago. I had set a new best earlier that night. Last run of the night I got lined up against a MEAN 55 Chevy. This thing was running low 11's pulling the wheels off the ground.
It's pretty neat to watch that right aong side of you and then blowing past.. and he got a 10.88 that run.

i still remeber and still have the first timeslip i ever got. i pulled up to the lights all proud in my very pretty and dead stock 91RS. next to me all i hear is rumpity rumpity rumpity, i look over and think" oh S**t" he went 10 flat and i went 15.9. i actually remeber looking up at the score board and thinking "damn, thats fast" before i even crossed the line. lol
it was still fun though.
