Get the trans back in (just picked it up tonight) put a loop in it and get it down the track before spring
Other than that nothing just get some miles on it and quit working on it if theres such a thing.

After two seasons of 1.3x 60 foot times, I'm taking the stock 10 bolt out and replacing it with a Strange 12 bolt. Also rewiring the car with an ARC 8000 switch panel.

New Dizzy, wilwood front brakes, front spohn lower control arms, all new tie rod ends, steering box, front spohn coil over kit, some sort of evac system on the motor, finish wiring n20 kit and wide band.
Holy crap that's a lot of time I am going to have to beg my wife for..... All the parts are in except the evac system......

currently have the dash and console out of mine. Going to rewire the car with the ARC controls 8 button. leaving all the lights on the factory switch. Been bugging the heck out of Matt with questions about the factory wiring.

Not touching the 84 this winter. The 91 is getting a LS1/4l60e swap. Got the old engine out and the engine bay painted so far. Took the stock K-member out yesterday to cut the required notches for oil pan and AC compressor clearance.

start, ignition, fuel pump, water pump, fan, delay box, trans cooler fan and nitrous power. I'm going to run that 12v wire that turns on the alternator to the ignition switch.

Re: What are everyone's winter project plans?
I installed my wonder bar today.
Then I need to get weatherstripping for my driver door, steering column, steering wheel adapter, wheel spacers, and summer tires.
But some of this will be put on during the spring also.

Spohn Pro-Drag coilovers, AJE Tubular K-member, and rack n pinion steering for the front. Rod ended lower control arms and pan hard bar for the rear. A new dash to replace my cracked one. I also hope to have the rollbar upgraded to a 14 pt cage.

Re: What are everyone's winter project plans?
Further to what I posted earlier about my compression ratio, the heads are in the shop now getting cc'd (plus machining the added clearence needed for the pushrods). Then I'll determine if there's 3 cc's to pull out the chambers. That'll get my SCR down to 10:1 even and I get to keep the .040" quench I've built into this thing. Otherwise, it's a thicker head to the rescue.
Then there's the new carpet and headliner waiting. Custom gauge panel, some more sound deadener...

Use most of the time on the car...sweet hate making trips back and forth...any way...just want to get it bolted back together...so many parts over the last 3 years and still getting stuff...I upgrade even before installing some...lol

Re: What are everyone's winter project plans?
I have a long list, but bottom line I want to finally drive my car!!!!! so the list is as follows, just finished up the grafted front bumper and rear bumper shave, am now as we type painting the engine bay and a rebuild 350 to match the car. I also swapped the auto for a 5speed. after I get her running, I am going to do a few more subtle mods to my bird and try to get it all painted! It will be fare from done! but a fun driver anyway. IF I have time I want to do a little in the interior also, but that will be pushing it.
whew I need a break!

PA Racing. They're not on his site, so email Jason Smith directly about them at Jason@paracing.com. be sure to tell him what shocks they'll be for as not all shocks have the same dimension bottom mount. he's offering a 10% discount on all orders till friday so long as you email him directly about your order. i believe he's also offering WD pricing on strange products. but ya gotta email him directly with part numbers. Just let him know i sent ya. He does a ton for the industry but is kinda under the radar, super cool dude.

Re: What are everyone's winter project plans?
switch panel came out nicely matt. Started cutting wires to pop in the 4th gen fuse panel instead of the 3rd gen one just hanging in the 2000 dash. Was going to wire it up through the ignition switch, but debating just making everything constant hot since I might delete all that crap and just use the switch out back to kill power.

Re: What are everyone's winter project plans?
Chromoly has more "tensile strength" than mild steel. along with that comes more stiffness and brittleness. for the record my rear rod-ended lca's that ar chromoly get a LOT of torsional abuse on the street (full spool, slicks, yadda yadda) and haven't had any problems. i'm sure my experience with this k-member will be simliar. the short answer: I'm not worried.
of course NHRA rules put a damper on that if you want a competitive car...
Any lighter pictures of that? I'm wondering how much of the front of the cylinder head is exposed (specifically, if you could plumb a fitting into the front of it about 1.25x1.25" from the outer, bottom corner of it).

Re: What are everyone's winter project plans?
Um, if you look up mild steel and 4130's normalized tensile strength you'll see that their ranges overlap... so you could potentially have less in a 4130 part, and the difference isn't really that great anyway. Add that the HAZ around the weld will be hard and brittle, and that most 4130 parts are made out of thinner steal to make them lighter... I don't really see the point. Honestly I'd rather have 1025 made the same thickness as the 4130 (if I can get it at a reasonable cost, otherwise the typical 1018 is fine) and not mess with the brittle joints... I'd trust the part more, especially after it takes a couple of jolts (pot holes, landings from a wheels up launch...).
of course NHRA rules put a damper on that if you want a competitive car...

Re: What are everyone's winter project plans?
Wiring up the fogger. Already installed a switch panel into the factory 4th gen dash where hvac controls were. Added an oem fuse panel into the dash and deleted the thirdgen one. Still fighting a few wiring hiccups on that. Maybe cruise it more finally. Here's it at thirdgenfest last year.
