moving the car to the new place..

ok having the car moved by rollback.

just tossing the front end on it so it will roll (k member is off )and all the front end parts.

so i have to put just the basics (i hope) car is 40 miles away from the new house. all this will be pulled off when in the new shop.. so i can do the paint under the car.

tube K member
coil overs
spindles
rotors
wheels and tires (have to mt up the new ones) all out of the others.

im thinking i can just install the coil overs on the struts with the stock hats. as its just to move the car 20 or 30 feet.

and what of the tie rods ya think ill have to put this stuff of finger tight to have it pulled up on the rollback.. as i have the steering box out also.

just want to get it moved.. and all the new parts are just sitting what all do ya think ill need to get the front end to roll..(wheels and tires ...yes)

ill pack up all the parts even the streeing box as i dont want to make a 40 mile drive to get somthing i forgot..
anybody moved one like this before? some insight would be fantastic.

Re: moving the car to the new place..

iv always liked the way my front tires hugged/tucked under the front of the car..

I hope they dont push out with this new set of front wheels. all i need was 1/4" more room to feel good..but the nexed part number was a full 2"inches out..

with the drag lights

Re: moving the car to the new place..

I know..right....

Thinking of going with there low pad.a 2nd time ..And using a 1/4" spacer..have to see what they look like on the car...

As it was the first rims I had from weld in the rts. Was a low pad...and it just touched the calipers....just..so I sent them back and orderd. Fronts in a med high pad..and its a full inch off/above the calipers....lol

yes definitely going to get a trailer. I'm looking at them all aluminum custom. Probably enclosed. But the that's what my buddies do for me if/when my car breaks at. the track.. I usually get it towed from them. and flip them 30 40 bucks...

back space looks good on front wheels.. Garage looks killer now you just need a killer tool box in the space instead of that hobo freight box you have. lol. I am a Matco dealer so I am a little biased on how sweet my boxes are.

Had to leave all the tool boxes with the car..till I got it moved. (Had to put car together)
Will be going over to get my tool boxes this weekend.. the boxes in the pics are xmas gifts from the wife to be...she knows I wanted a new lower box for a welder set up. And a service cart I can take to the car or work site (dont have to make trips to the roll away).picked up a shelf to add to the cart..and added a rubber pad to the top...in case I need to lay somthing heavy on it. And to keep the top nice looking..but I will say.
l...iv had $5600 snap on rollaways..and mac boxes..and that/this service cart. Is built just as well if not better. Lol...had a snap on box stolen..one time...thank god I had insurance it covered everything. Tools were at a depreciated value..but I got almost all paid for. And did the replacement cost reimbursement with my insurance company and i came out on top at the end..and replaced everything with craftsman at half the cost. Oh I still have a few Mac & snap on Tools...but my boxes are all craftsman now...with a air tools in Ingersoll Rand.. Blue Point. And a few others...my first snap on service cart set way too low we always had to put extensions on but the last 25 years the service carts have gotten better.....I will say I like the looks of the stainless steel rollaways...sweet!.

Hobo cart...thats is funny....some of the stuff is not up to snuff

those us general boxes have amazing reviews, and for the money are far superior to other consumer level boxes available on the market. i want to get one of these to put under my work bench...two would be better!

Matt your right. a lot of good reviews. And I can tell you for one the gauge of steel the style of construction is right up with all the time name brands I've had snap on boxes I've had Mac boxes and I had craftsman boxes.in for the price you can't beat em. She paid $169for that service cart and $150 for that craftsman box it's sitting next to in the pic..the reason I didn't buy one a few years ago is they had that flat finish paint on them yuck. But as soon as they did the gloss finish i was in!

apparently the ones with the flat paint had even better sliders. paint is easy to fix, lol! the 44" bottom cabinet is on my wishlist for sure.
