12 hours and 744 miles... it is doable but need to check my oldest child's travel soccer schedule. I don't want to drive alone and would like to bring the family.

Does the pre-entry fee include entry for drive and crew member (my wife)
what is if we bring the kids? that would make 5 of us for a Saturday track outing.
and we have all day Sunday to drive back.

Please PM the details along with accommodations near the track.
Any sites worth seeing if we arrive on Friday ?

Last time I was on the East coast was 1994, I took a road trip to see Falling Water in Pennsylvania and spent the weekend in Pittsburg...
Ironicly the car I would trailer to race this Sept. is the same car I drove to Pittsburg in '94 LOL

Crew is $15 per person. Children under 8 are free.

The Best Western North East Inn sponsors our race every year and offers our racers a discounted rate if you mention that you will be participating in our race. They are the closest hotel at #39 Elwoods Road, North East, MD. You can call #(410) 287-5450.

I'm sure there are some fun things to do in the area, but I wouldn't be the best person to ask about that. Maybe someone else on the boards can help you who are from that area.

Hey racers! Just 2 more days until the 8th Annual Jim Harrington Footbrake Classic at Cecil County Dragway! The weather looks BEAUTIFUL! Weather.com We're looking forward to a great weekend of racing and appreciate all who have pre-entered! To those of you still considering, you won't be disappointed!

Gates will be open at 5:00 Friday night, if you need to drop off your trailer or are staying the evening in your motorhome. Gate 1 will only be open for Friday night. Gates will be open until 10:30pm.

**Also a Note for This Weekend.... We will be accepting Credit Cards at the gate this year if you will be paying upon arrival.**
