Re: lakewood 90/10s?

i use them up front. I'd like to change them out for something more tunable, but they work. have afco double adjustables in the rear

Re: lakewood 90/10s?

i was just runnin some wore out stock ones which seemed to work but last outing when i went to load up i noticed the front end sittin down and that strut wouldn rebound so after jacking it up and checking it out it appears that is the problem.

Re: lakewood 90/10s?

90/10 work fantastic.. bolt on.. and play. iv run them with the stock 92 z28 springs.. for years..now bolting on a coil over front end with them..
and double adjustable rear coil overs out back.. i also run a ladder bar set up..

Re: lakewood 90/10s?

thanks for the imput. i just have stock shocks and springs out back. funds dont allow me to buy to much at one time but eventually i would like to end up with a nine inch either ladder bar setup or a nine inch that works on our torque arm. thanks again.

Re: lakewood 90/10s?

as you go faster you will need to move to a better rear end.
there is nothing you can do to get the 7.5 to live.

save up and get a bolt in 9" i did mine back when the car was about 3 years old.. $2200. det locker 4.11 35 spline axles

got rid of the TQ arm before that with SSM.lift bars/ladderbars

Re: lakewood 90/10s?

you have any pics of those lift bars? i just cant afford the 2200 right now on a rear end so ima run it till it blows up. my car ran 11.4x the first night out really gettin to play with it. but my sixtys seem sluggish for that et but i aint puttin any money in the 10 bolt so the 3.42 gears are there to stay for now.

Re: lakewood 90/10s?

i'm an advocate for the torque arm type suspension. just much better geometry in my opinion

i'm running 90/10's on my mid 10 second car with good luck, and we have them on a mid 12 second car, also very good luck. for a "slow" car like ours, they're great. once you get into the mid 9's or faster, it helps to have something a little more tunable though.

Re: lakewood 90/10s?

I ran 90/10s in the front of my 9.8-10.1 n/a car for years. I just now added front qa1 dbl adjustables cuz my lakewoods were worn out from wheelstandng.

Re: lakewood 90/10s?

Yes... the car was a weekend driver..they drive fine on the street.no dif from reg shocks..you can only feel the difference when hitting a dip in the road..your front end doesn't suck down at the bottom of the dip..
and it. Pops/lifts more when you come out of the dip..a bit more but nothing major. Now when you're on the freeway doing 120 + and you hit a dip. and come out of it..it'll make you ..pucker for just a second..but that's the fun part...

thanks , speed limit on the highway here is 80, and they just repaved about a 30 mile section of the 62 mile stretch i have to drive down weekly
its pretty smooth except for one section about 5 miles long were in any car or truck it feels like ur constantly driving bumps/dips in the road

been thinking about the 90/10 drag spring combo just been nervous to give it a go with all the street miles i rack up every year

Re: lakewood 90/10s?

You would like the drag strip performance the 90/10s will give you. And driving on the street you'll never notice the difference except that you won't bottom out like you did with regular shocks..
