gear ratios and speed

i have a question. i want to build a hill racer, street strip car. its a 86 iroc lg4 305 5 speed. The road me and my friends race on is curvey and hilly. will 4:56 gears and 255-50-16 tires. will that be too much gearing for it. will i run out of top end speed at the strip with it.

i have a 3.73 gear and i have hills that i play on and my car does excellent. I think 4.56 is too steep for first gear .

IMO 4.56 is too much for a street cat, 4.10 is about the max and thats still pushing it for practicality.
