this sucks

when's the board going to be back up?

tgo is boooooring, I mean I've been entertaining myself by either wasting a hell of alot of gas, or making fun of v6ers on tgo, and both probably aren't good. although I got bored yesterday and cut off my muffler. it just wasn't loud enough. I strapped on a big long cherry bomb right where the muffler was cuz I had one laying around, and it's kinda loud, but in all truth is was quieter without the cherry bomb. I think either my cam is just really weak, or my cat is clogged, cuz my car isn't even loud with no muffler, and makes a wooshing sound. that and I have some nice rusty pipes that kinda developed holes when I tried to twist off my muffler, I think it's gonna be time for a cat-back soon. lol. I want my car to sound mean, not like a loud floor fan. dangit. mabee I just need a whole new powertrain and exhaust? I'm thinking tbi 350 with a lt1 cam, and headers and custom chip. I think that could be fun, but I think I will need a new tranny. don't think this one would hold up to a 350 especially not the way I drive. I know I must have more power one way or another!

Any word on those mirrors? I haven't heard from you in a while, and you haven't answered any of my PM's on the Crew board.

Yeah, your cat is probably clogged, then again, they are so restrictive from the factory, our cars don't really need mufflers. I pulled the cat off my '83 Z28 (LG4) and it was loud as f*ck! As far as a mean sounding exhaust, I had a Flow Master (can't remember which series) and high flow cat on my '85 Z28 (LB9) and it had the G0D tone!!!

BTW, I did a search for 'cherry bomb' on the exhaust board a few months ago 'cause I was thinking about getting one (Only $20 at Schucks!). Everyone on there said it is very restrictive even though it is a flow-through design.

well it seems to give me a bit more topend, but I did loose some low end I've noticed. I think that muffler I had was much more restrictive.

I vote for Flowmaster 40 series cat back.. thats what I have on my car and it sounds goooooooood! And, if you dont need to have a cat, pop that damn thing off, have a pipe made and buy a flowtech cutout... it was good for 14 ft lbs on the dyno in my T/A.
