Aight, I know this shoudl be posted on one of the other boards but oh well. How in the hell does the whole clutch assembly go together? Where does the throw out bearing go? Inside the pressure plate and clutch fork? How do they all line up? HELP.

welp dood..it basically goesl ike this... flywheel,then align the clutch disc on the flywheel with either an old tranny input shaft..or an alignment tool,then bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel,your flywheel might also have alignment dowels,make sure you get those lined up correctly..also you'll need a new pilot bearing,summit sells actual bearings,,i highly recomend them {pilot bearing goes in the end of the crankshaft by the way} the throwout bearing rest's in the clutch fork and ride's on the tranny input shaft,which pushes against the pressure plate to realease the clutch

so to recap it goes like this...

pilot bearing..>flywheel...>clutch disc...>pressureplate...> throwoutbearing rests in the clutch fork {you'll see how that works} easy to figure out and the throwoutbearing pushses against the OUTSIDE of the pressureplate

I got a new pilot bearing so I'm good to go there. I just didn't see how it all fit together. But okay. I'll go try and put it all on. Only thing is, I can't do it without it being on the engine can I? Since I have to bolt the flywheel up to the center of the crankshaft. BAAAAH

hehe..sorry dood your gonna have to wait until the motor arrives to begin putting the clutch on...although when the new motor does come in..you can put the,piilot bearing-clutch disc and pressure plate on, i actually found it easier to install the motor and tranny together on my transam...with a 5spd..its a bitch underneath the car working on the clutch.

I was going to put it all together first. Oh well. Was hopign I could do somethine constructive. GUess I just have to wait. I could always remove the old engine! hahaha
