I'm getting ready to finish up school and plan on moving out to Oregon in May. Just curious if anyone from the board lives there and how they like it. Thanks.

Oregon is a great State in terms of geography, outdoor activities, etc. Politically it is quite a hodge podge. Overall it's not too bad once the webbing forms between your fingers and toes
I'm flying out in March to do some interviewing and some job hunting. I plan on looking for a job in the Portland area, but I'll wait to find a place to live after I have located a job. The plan is to find a job then a place to live, so I'm not 100% sure yet.
I think Oregon seems like the perfect place to live with their lakes, mountains, and coast. I'm looking forward to going out there in March. I have lived in Nebraska my entire life and am finishing up my degree and can't wait to move on.
If you guys don't mind I would like to post on the Cascade board and maybe ask a few questions and talk about cars too. Thanks.
Hey hey hey.... I'm just as close to mountains and lakes as they are.... I DIG the lakes near Mt St Helens.... And just as far away from the coast. heheheheh
No worries - come on over to the crew site and let us know when you are coming into town. Living in the Portland metro area is pretty cool - 1 hour to snow skiing, 1.5 hours to the Pacific Ocean.
yeah, let us know when you get here, we can all meet up for dinner, or a couple of us could show you some of the reasons why this is like no other place on earth (besides having me live in here. )
Depending on when in march you make it, you might just hit the annual crew dyno weekend too.
I plan on being out there on March 15th and leaving March 18th or 19th. What day is the annual crew dyno weekend? I should know some more details like where I'm staying and stuff in a few weeks. Just curious what is the weather like right now in the Portland area. Here in Nebraska we have a foot of snow on the ground with highs in the 20's...
Thanks for the information. I'll keep you guys posted on what my plans are and try and set up something...dinner, drinks, or something. I'll also do some posting on the Cascade board too, thanks guys.
Brian
Here is a pic of my 1986 Iroc Z. I just bought it from the original owner in Ohio about 3 months ago. I forbid to drive it in any weather (and so did the original owner) so it's in the garage hibernating for the winter. I used to have an 1988 GTA when I was in high school. I bought that car with 17,000 miles, but sold it 2 years later . The Iroc has 43,000 and is in just as nice shape and is a keeper!
The picture looks so weird to me! I hardly ever see cars without big ugly license plate brackets on them! Your GTA looks very nice, I'm glad that the Camaro has the front license plate attacted to the grill which is very cheap to replace...might be little expensive to fix holes on a Firebird.
