New to area need some help!

Hey guys Im new to the area Im currently in portland OR and I needed some help with the new smog laws and what not, I currently have my 83 trans Am that came from out of state (Ohio actually) and I need to go through to smog but my question is that my vin is rusted so bad that Ill I can make out is two of the letters in it. Ive checked the door and its not there eather, the engine is a 400 cid 6.6l out of a 78 blazer and so no help there and I have no Idea what I need to do to get a vin fixed on it, Im sure it will pass smog (new cat, carb, intake, distributor, and a msd digital 6 box among other things) but anyways I was just wondering on what I have to do to get it through smog I have the title with the vin on it but I dont know if thats going to do me any good.

Re: New to area need some help!

remove the rear spare tire cover, there is a vin on the inside of the fender, you can also see it if you open the rear cargo compartment and look at that fender. should be enough for them. Oregon usually wants to see two when they do a "vin inspection" on a car from out of state.
