Since I was cheap, and didn't get a dedicated server. When the DNS does go through, the forums may not work yet (or will be dated from July), I am having trouble importing the fresh back-up of the database. I had a backup from July 17th, that Imported OK, but I am working on getting the data imported from the backup from right before the change. |

I have a spare linux box I could host it on. But I am on comcast, and the upload speed is not very good. Peformance wise, hosting it like we do is the way to go, once we get the switch over done, all will be good. I just hope I can get the data imported. If I had full shell access as root, I could get it, but they are not keen on giving me that kind of access, so I have to work with the hosting companys DBA's and try to get them to get the data imported. |

I played with linux while i was at school. i had my box hacked into twice in two quarters so I closed down non .edu access. I used it for circuit board design. |
