T-Tops from 82 Z28 $200 - with original case.

Should fit 82-92. Non-locking style, smoked glass. Car is going to the yard shortly. Set is nice, came off my wifes 82 pace car.

$200 +shipping. I have no idea how much shipping is, but I would figure 30+. Located in South FL, (NW Broward) if you want to pickup.

How nice are they? Are they 100% scratch-free show-quality? $200 is pretty steep for a set of T-tops. They're on the classifieds for $50 a set all day long.

Not posting to be an ***, I would actually be interested if they were mint and the price was reasonable. I'd pay $100 for a set of really, really nice ones.

By the way, if they're off an '82 Pace car, they're the hook-latch style which was only used in 82-83. From 84-92 GM used a "pin" style t-top, so these have a limited market. I have an '83, so they'd work on my car.

Dang,
I have never heard of a pace car going to the big yard in the sky. Is this all you have left or do you have any interior parts?

Firebird, thanks for the advice. The car belongs to my fiance, and its been parked in front of her moms house for well over a year now, and she's getting sick of it. My fiance doesn't want to get rid of it, but its becoming a problem.

She thinks they are worth $300+, I know theres some value there - how much I don't really know. I'll get some digital pics of the set later today and you can see for yourself.

Duke,
Unfortunately its looking that way . I love the car, it was driving when I first met her - but very bad. Her ex-BF decided one day he needed to fix a hole that "didn't look like it belonged there" (It was a hole in the non functional AIR tubes for the smog pump). He used quiksteel without telling her, she came home and drove the car 5 minutes after he went upstairs, the quiksteel heated up on the way to the store, she came home - went upstairs and the quiksteel caught fire. Everything in the engine compartment that could melt was melted. Fire department took care of destroying the rest with a ton of water. Sad, sad story.

But it gets worse. So afterwards her ex-BF was in charge of paying the tow truck driver to get the car to a shop that she had chosen, a camaro restoration specialist who had quoted her $3000 for a rebuild and to replace everything in the engine compartment. The driver talked him into taking it to their own shop and offered a "10% discount". He bit on it and before she knew any better they were up to $2500 in repairs just for the engine compartment stuff (brake master cylinder, wires, dist cap, etc, just the stuff that melted). They didn't rebuild it, and in the process managed to break her fuel pump sending unit somehow.

Car ran, but had "3 weak cylinders" that should have been taken care of with the rebuild that didn't happen because of the ex-BF.

One day the car just stalled and wouldn't start anymore, I did the totally stripped out timing chain (with another idiot friend, not 100% we got that on right), new starter, distributor/cap/rotor/plugs/wires/coil, alternator, battery, it ran well enoguh to get insurance and registered and drive to the store, but then a tree fell on it and dented the front quarter panel and put a nice crack iin the windshield.

Since we're poor and I've never tackled a rebuild by myself I'm loathe to spend any more money to try it.

Now her mom wants it junked, we can't put it at our place (tags are expired - it'll get ticketed and towed), and her mom threatened to disown her if she spends any more money on it.

Bottom end of motor is probably fine. I imagine it needs a head gasket set and probably some valve work. there is a small exhaust leak on the driver side from the manifold.

Interior is fair, driver seat has a small tear, passenger is OK (a bit dirty), both door handles are broken from the inside, and the outside driver handle is broken, so the only way to get in is bo and luke duke style - but both motors for the windows are great, back seat is a bit dirty, but no tears. Carpet is fair, the trim everywhere is good. Tires are almost totally bald, rims need paint, but otherwise original and good. Brakes are functional, just old and rusty. 200R4 is in great condition, 2.73 posi rear is fine, (no noises, it rolls great.)

If you want anything off of it, or maybe someone wants the car as a roller, make an offer and I'll bring it up to her.

in all honesty your gonna get at most 150 bucks out of the car from a junk yard but on average its 50-75 bucks and ive never seen a set of t-tops sell for that much other then the much rarer "cars and concepts" aftermarket types
as they are on even fewer cars and there alot shorter then factory "fisher" ones
you can get hook type tops from junk yards for 50 for the pair in driver shape

some reason its the lexan ones from 90-92 that they want 150 for

i would hope to see you sell the car whole as yes its a rare car but most of the universal parts are not as rare like t-tops lol its the car as a whole that is whats rare

well good luck with the car it is worth putting money into you can get a 350 for next to nothing to drop in
