Anybody ever use Posi-lock connectors?

Anybody ever use Posi-lock connectors?
I did a search and it came up with nothing.. In new summit catalog it has a product to replace butt-connectors...It LOOKS like good product but I dont wanna waste my money..

'metalhead212121' they work very well. I'm serious, I have a bunch in my tool chest. There pretty damn strong, and your likely to brake the wire before your able to pull them out of the posi-locks.
For permate stuff, I usually solder and shrink tube everything.
Make sure you get all sizes because there very size dependant, meaning your not going to be able to ram a 12ga wire in a 18ga posilock.

Can you disconnect and reconnect those Posi-lock connectors? Or is it you connect them...and they are connected together for "the long run..."

No problem..
You can re/disconnect them easy. The ends are threaded, and provide an absolute positive connection. The only con to them is there a little bulky. (Actualy the bigger sized ones are bulky ie. 12ga, but the smaller 18ga are not to bad.)

looks like a fuse link. my buddy used those when hooking up his system. i think they are real ugly but if they work and they are hidden then i guess they are worth the investment

summit or jegs. local speed shop can order them if you dont have them. i think autozone or someplace like that will have them too

I was just at Home Depot a few days ago and inquired into connectors for wiring. They had some nice insulated connectors that were much smaller and cleaner looking that that. I will probably use those when I get around to doing my 4th gen dash swap.

Be aware that the one I photo'ed is for giant 10ga wire, so everybody can see what makes them tick.
The 18 or so gauge posi-locks are much much smaller.

I love these because they will get you out of a jam. If you don't have the exact connectors you want to use, or don't have wire crimps on hand these are great for a temporary set up. If you're trying to figure out a wiring set up and don't want to waste permanent connectors these work. I keep some in the car for emergencies. The kind of thing you will need when you don't have it.

how well do these hold up to underhood temps? i'm having bear of a time soldering wire extensions to the wires that connect to the back of the heads for grounding, and it would be sweet if i could just screw the 2 wires together instead of trying to solder them.

It's made of a hard plasic, and can easily handle underhood temps. Wire insulation would melt long before these would.
