Anybody ever try the tre performance 255 lph pump?

I've been searching for a new high performance fuel pump to replace the walbro pump I had that went bad after 6 months and I saw these on ebay. They come with a one year warranty, which is exactly one year longer than walbro pumps do. Here is a link to the ebay page:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/255-L...spagenameZWDVW

Anybody ever use these? Are they junk? For $70 I might be willing to give it a shot.

Well I went ahead and put one in my car and after a few months of driving it, I must say I think it's a quality product. I tested my fuel pressure with it installed and even at WOT the needle did not budge from where I have it set at 50 psi. It seems to start faster and even the idle seems improved. For $70 and with a one year warranty, it cannot be beat if you ask me.

Hi there Destructimus. From which seller did you get that item? I also put the same lph pump fuel on my eBay watch list.

Re: Anybody ever try the tre performance 255 lph pump?

I believe I got mine from highflowfuel or something like that. They were pretty reasonable with me in regards to working out a deal when the Walbro I bought from the died after four or five months so I would highly reccomend them.

Re: Anybody ever try the tre performance 255 lph pump?

Yes, the TRE feul pump is outstanding! I added one to my lightly modded iroc and everything improved along with more consistency! I bought mine directly from TRE. Everything was included in the kit for a complete install, plus you cant beat the price and one year warranty. IMO if it was my company i'd be charging way more for it, thats how good it is!!

I just bought one, sound like I did good. in town the stock pumps are close to the same price.then you have to buy the filter sock.

Re: Anybody ever try the tre performance 255 lph pump?

I got my TRE fuel about a week ago and finally got it installed last weekend. It's pretty quit, but the stock pump was quiter. Overall quality is yet to be determined...but it was much cheaper the the others I looked at. Not exactly a direct fit either(had to cut the OE plug), but I got what I paid for. It did make good pressure, not sure of the max.... it stalled the engine when it hit 75psi(pinched the return line to see max flow). There are other issues with the car so I'll see its true performance when those are fixed.

Re: Anybody ever try the tre performance 255 lph pump?

I must say,
You can't see anything bad about the TRE fuel pump! Mines fit w/o any problems at all! Yes its completely silent! Holds pressure superb and carries a 1 year warranty!
What more can you want?
I'm sorry but you just can't state any negative about this pump!

Re: Anybody ever try the tre performance 255 lph pump?

What is the part number for that TRE pump? TRE performance lists
TRE-343 and TRE-340c. Says they are both 255lph.

i saw this link and thought it was started by some salesman, but i see too many well known names to think that now.
http://treperformance.com/i-873-chev...1985-2002.html is the site i found for the 343 and it is 69.99 for our cars. the 340 c was 65.00.
so let me ask:
this appears to be internal, is it?
does it have all the proper hoses for the return for our fi?
just wondering.
and does anyone know where i can get stainless hoses for the fuel lines, i need to install new ones with the tpi i am putting in.
thanks for any info.
i will come back and look later.
tony
