Arkansas Polishing...TPI Units

Has anyone sent any parts to Arkansas Polishing?? Sent them my runners to have dents removed and polished 2 months ago and still have not
received any back and he's not responding to any emails anymore.
He sells on Ebay under c4-3rdgentpic, specializes in TPI parts.

I think I saw a thread on here a while back about them. Seems like it was mostly positive though. Do they not list a phone number?

The web site is up. Looks legit, the number is 1-479-325-0912.
Have you called them? I was looking for the same type service but two months seems a little too long!

Re: Arkansas Polishing...TPI Units

Yes that is the web site and yes I called. I finally received a email saying my runners were going to be shipped. According to the tracking number they were shipped this afternoon Oct.4th, to be received on Oct. 6th. So I will see if it was worth the wait?
I don't mind waiting, its just I was told several times they there going to be shipped and I never received my runners.

Go to the web site, it gives all prices. Most of the prices look pretty good. Need to see how they do with Injected61's parts, maybe he'll post some pics?

Re: Arkansas Polishing...TPI Units

I had them do my 90 TPI recently. They were quick to do it and it looks great.
The only problem I had was that they did not return the Shrader valve fitting on the fuel rail, the heat shield on the bottom of the manifold and the throttle cable bracket. I contacted them and they sent the valve fitting and the heat shield. I never did get the throttle cable bracket back.
My advice is to make a very detailed list of the parts you send to them and attach it to the unit.

Re: Arkansas Polishing...TPI Units

OH ya i've dealt with Isaac before! He's a great guy! But remember, it's him and a buddy who run the show down there. I traded him an edelbrock baseplate and runners and a stock 88 plenum, in exchange for slp runners and a plenum both powdercoated and siamesed. When I got them the powdercoating was great! But the siamesing was sort of weak. So I spent time porting them the way I wanted them done!
But he is definitely not a scam artist. He's a genuinely good guy.

They ported my plenum, then polished it, along with my distributor cover, and then they did black powder coat in the ribs. I paid a fair price and it was done well.

Re: Arkansas Polishing...TPI Units

I was actually looking to buy a plenum, runners, and tb from them. Ive read alot of people wait a long time for it to arrive. I dont mind waiting, especially for the work the guy does. zz3Astro on this forum has a video on youtube of him unwrapping his from the mail. Its gorgeous! So its obviously worth the wait.

Re: Arkansas Polishing...TPI Units

i've researched them now, prices seem very reasonable, looks like quality work

in fact, i see the posts on other forums are from YOU, looks like you found one person who had a negative experience(but still got his intake, just not the bolts they "agreed" on) and called it a pattern, then went ranting on every forum that comes up when you type in "arkansas polishing" on google

If you don't receive a item within 30 days open a paypal dispute. You have waited way to long. file a report to the BBB is the only course of action you have. Going on every forum possible complaining wont get you any were.

How much you want to do mine? Lol. That's gorgeous. Nice port work too. I would do mine myself, if only I had the proper tools to sand it and port it.

Re: Arkansas Polishing...TPI Units

I went a little overboard on this one Its not like anyone will ever see the bottom or that I shaped around the throttle mounting bracket. I used a piece of 1/4 key stock to chisel out the groves. Dont Tell my wife I stole her nail file it worked great to wrap paper around
to do the groves. With The porting I had about 20hrs into it and maybe $20 in sandpaper.
Im not sure If I would do this for others maybe the top and sides only lol.

Here are some before and after pics. This guy does GREAT WORK. VERY HAPPY with the way everything turned out. Even the powder Coat color is close to the color of my valve covers so everything blends nicely.

I would highly recommend Arkansas Polishing and would use them again.

they should have been able to get you fuel rails much nicer, I didn't sand these, just polished and they started to have a chrome shine, only took about 15 minutes

DO NOT USE ARKANSAS POLISHING THIS BUSINESS IS A SCAM. I sent them my tpi unit for work and never got it back. As soon as payment cleared for it all forms of communication stopped. they quite responding to emails, phone call, ect. been months with no reply. had to file disputes with paypal and bank. very hard to get money or parts back ended up loosing my tpi unit and my money. dont under any circumstances send these guys any parts or money because you will never see it again. SCAMMERS, FAKE, FRAUD.

Dude this OP is from 2010. The only posts you've made on TGO are your complaints.

dont care how old post is. Just wanted the good people in the car building hobby to know this company cant be trusted. They took me for alot of money and waisted time on my project. If i can save even one person the hassle and loss i went through it was worth it.

You sound like the same guy who complained before. IF you're unhappy with their work, then post in the appropriate section.

I wish I had the patience to do the kind of work that is represented here. Those parts are works of art.
