Re: Has anyone dealt with Flynbye Performance?
I bought some braided brakes lines from them when I swapped to the LS1 brakes. Shipping was slow but nice lines, they were the only ones I could find with something to clip in the bracket on the strut. They came with new bolts, copper washers and all the retainer clips too so all in all I'm happy.

He's a good guy and does top quality work, but lately for whatever reason he has been very very slow with certain orders and people here get annoyed, but give him a call anyway and see what the lead time is now.

Don't expect the parts any time soon. Could take several months after you pay for them to actualy receive them.

If you dont want to wait, Scott at http://www.bigbrakeupgrade.com/ is a good guy and very quick. He just doesnt have the same selection that Ed does. He'll be the first to tell you Ed does tons of volume relative to him, but Scott's a legit guy with good merchandise and I got my parts over here in 2 days. Scott will also reply immediately to emails/phone calls, which Ed does too, but Ed will sort of ignore people after they send the money, which is kind of weird considering the parts always make it out.
I had a friend who waited over 3 months for his stuff, and after he repeatedly told them he wanted red calipers, Ed sent him gray ones, plus there was shifty stuff about a core charge that was a little weird but I cant remember why.

Meanwhile i cant recommend Scott at bigbrakeupgrade enough.
Ed has done a lot for the thirdgen community and as far as I know he's never failed to send out parts and he's been at this for YEARS and does a LOT of volume so it takes him a while to get through stuff. But just be aware if you're getting a whole kit it may take quite a while.

Bigbrakeupgrade was the other site I was looking at actually, the only thing I dont like is the pictures never load anymore. I guess I could make my decision based on the product description since your highly recommending them.

Re: Has anyone dealt with Flynbye Performance?
I purchased a full front kit and rear parts from Ed and the whole deal was done in like 2 weeks. This was, however, over 2 years ago and it seems of late he's been real slow. But, his stuff works very well and is real eye candy to boot!

Hi, I drop by here now and then and I`m curious if you don`t mind, what browser are you using? I will get that looked at if it`s a site problem. Sometimes I need to clear my cache in my browser or restart my computer when things like that happen.

Nothing against Ed... but Ive never been able to get ahold of him haha. Scott came through for me big time when I was building my LS1 swap. I went with him mainly because I could get everything in a couple days and his prices were good. His parts looked and work great, and are STILL working great. Well..they would be if my car was up on blocks... HA.

BBU is the way to go. I needed parts for my flynbye kit but I didnt even bother calling ed. Scott hooked me up, and I didnt have to go through any of this BS like everyone else:

Re: Has anyone dealt with Flynbye Performance?
The parts of Ed are really good but it's really sad that it takes several months to get your parts. I could have live with that if you get informed regularly about the progress which was not the case. I've ordered my parts late April this year. Received the parts about 4 and a half months later.
That's sad because I couldn't drove my car really much because of the failing rear brakes. It stand all summer in the garage. 2 weeks after getting the parts we got 30cm snow over the weekend.
I have now asked him some questions about the backing plates because as European fella I simply don't know these parts. On European cars you don't have something like that. :-) That's now some days ago and still no answer. I spent 2000 Bucks for a rear and front kit. Doesn't feel good somehow....
But still he was always really nice even if I was a little rude in my taken words. But I hope he understood how it was for me not hearing something for weeks :-) If you need the parts fast and BBU has the parts you need I would recommend to use BBU as your supplier of the parts. :-)

I picked up my brackets and modified hubs from Scott. He also modified my spindles. His customer service is unbeatable and his shipping speed is pretty reasonable as well. I recommend him to anyone wanting an LS1 or C5 brake upgrade
