Removing scratches and polishing t-tops

Car: 91 Camaro RS
Engine: 5.0L TBI (ebl inside)
Transmission: T-5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 lsd 10 bolt
Removing scratches and polishing t-tops
I have glass t-tops now, (not the factory lexan, I wish I still had), which have a few scratches and don't look all that pretty. On a search I did it said use 000 steel wool is that the norm for cleaning the t-tops up nicely or is there another method?
