I did a search and got 10000 match's with "no nothing at all". I have heard people say it can be done, but have not heard exactly how to do it. Can any one help?

I myself have never done it. But I hear it works for small dings that aren't on a body crease as long as you hold the dry ice on the ding from behind it.

Putting a piece of dry ice in the center of the dent cools the metal and causes it to shrink slightly, which is enough to get it to pop back out sometimes.

Try your local suppliers of medical gasses, or refrigeration equipment.

Maybe try the yellow pages under "dry ice".

If you are looking for dry ice go to a largr ice dist. I can go to publix and get dry ice also.

They were on the car before i had it. I will almost NEVER park anywere but an end spot or miles away or i just wont go to whereever i was going. My gf and friends hate me for it but tuff **** like you said i hate *******s that just fling there doors open. I actually put one of the ding/dents in my door from opening it up into the bar at the gas pumps. Ive never been so mad in my life, and taking me forever to get over it...lol

The reason you searched and found 10000 responses with no info is because it doesn't work! I do paintless dent removal and I've heard all the tales. Heating the metal doesn't work either, but it will damage the paint if not done right.

Remember, a dent was created by something hitting the metal causing it to stretch. The dent not only needs to be shrunk, but reshaped back to normal. If it was so easy to just use ice, then why don't dents disappear in Canada or Minnesota during the winter?

Here is one I put in my Monte. 6 hours later, it's gone. Ice can't do that!

ive seen plenty of shallow hood dents where there wasnt any stretch, and just hard to access from behind... that pop-a-dent thing at your local auto parts store will do fine.. :P
but yeah dry ice isnt going to make your door dings, or hail damage dissapear

If you don't mind 2 more dents added to the original 1. That tool uses a glue system with a bridge. While turning the handle to pull up on the glue piece, the 2 side pads are pushing down on the metal for leverage creating 2 minor impressions. Also, what do you do when the glue doesn't release at the right amount of pressure and overpulls the dent? Now you have an outward dent. I know someone will say to just lightly tap it back down, but where do you hit it and with what? You will mark the paint!

Leave the dent removal to the pros. You'll get a much better looking finished product. If it was as easy as it looks, I'd be out of a job.

Dont you just love it when you try to park far away from everyone and you come out and some a**hole saw that you were trying to park away from everyone so he parks real tight to you.... lol I hate it when that happens!!!

I have friends that do dent popping after hail season and hail storms. most of the time they use a little suction cup for dent removal, other times they have used dry ice. With the suction cup, if your car is older, it is possible to make the paint separate from the metal then eventually it will bubble up and chip off. The dry ice works sometimes depending on where the dent is. They use a heat gun "carefully" to heat the area then rub the dry ice into the dent.

That is why I always double park out at the edge of the parking lot, plus it puts your car in full view of everyone, so theft is deterred that much more.
