Hello all, and yea very familiar with EB Miller, stuff, I was just looking to do my own swap, find a set of LS-1 rears and calipers. I have a drum rear now
(91 Z-28 350 car) and want to convert. Has anyone done this, and what bracket did you get from EB, and what rotor are u running. I have 17 in wheels also. Pics would be great.

I've done it. It's actually really easy and you can retain the e-brake function of the LS1 setup. It's been done several times and is a great rear disk option. Here is a link to the article where I got my instructions from: https://www.thirdgen.org/ls1reardisc

Yea seen that a long time ago and went through it yesterday, thx, and did u need anything from EB, I see on his site he has new hard lines, and how did you connect the e-cable, does the stock 3rd gen work or do u need to swap out? Also are u running a stock LS-1 size rotor ?

I didn't buy anything from Eb (sorry, Eb). I got my braided steel lines form Kore3 and I bent my own lines. the e-brake cable is actually quite easy to figure out. What I did was connect the LS1 e-brake cables to the stock 3rd gen brackets under the car. Then I cut the stock line long enough to reach almost to the bracket, connected the stock line to the stock lever bracket and coupled the LS1 and 3rd gen lines together using small U shaped couplers. It worked great and you get to use the stock stuff. Just a couple of cuts and two U couplers.

Yes, you have to use the stock sized rotor. i just had them turned at a local auto parts store.

Not of the e-brake cables, though I should take some anyway for reference, but it's been raining for days here in Cali. On a dry day I'll take the pics. i have to go under the car soon anyway, I'll take some then. Just couple the the stock and LS1 cables together, works like a charm.

Ed sells a complete kit for this which I am very close to buying.. I just can't get a hold of him.. Sending him emails doesn't work. I have yet to try calling though. I am sure this kit is phenomenal like the front LS1 kit I have on my car already.

Yes I did notice he sells a kit but I can do a little painting and piece one together for a little cheaper, I have several other mods going on as well just trying to be resourceful with the $$$"s. lol

I was lucky with my kit; I only spent $160 on a used setup from ebay. They pop up for a good price from time to time.

Yea kinda the plan, find the used parts, maybe swap out the calipers with a reman set, and a nice set of rotors, a little G2 on the calipers and do my own mod on the axle

I just checked, and there is a complete LS1 rear brake set on Ebay right now for $190. Rotors need a turning and calipers a good inspection, but everything is there.

Hey guys,

If I wanted to peice together the set, I wouldn't mind using a used kit like this one:

Is this the same parts as Ed's kit or is there more involved than just buying these parts and slapping them on? (I have drum brakes currently). If there are extra parts which ones exactly would I need (planning on keeping parking brake functionality as well).

lol yeah thats the same set. the only real hard part is modding your hard lines or bending new ones.

That's the route I went also, but I had a disc rear also, so pretty much bolt on the axle. I used the brke cables (including tunnel bracket and brake handle from a donor LS1 car). Changing from drums, check this link.
