Re: 1989 IROC-Z
Man, 44K miles on an '89. That thing is probably mint. You should post some pictures up here. I don't want to waste your time with an email that you think may be from a potential buyer. Just wanna see it out of curiosity.

She's a real beauty. I think you'll have to be very patient to get anywhere close to $14K for it. Hopefully the right third gen lover will come along.
One question, why do you always have the front end bra/mask on the car? It's even on in the car show pics.

Re: 1989 IROC-Z
no it's not rare.I got one.No rust and only 68xxx,but was a 4 owner car that sat around more than it should have. I think a clean car in show quality should be worth around what is being asked. It's just money is tight right now for alot of people. Hang in there and when jobs pick up you should get a buyer.

Re: 1989 IROC-Z
My Iroc had the 350 with the T-tops, I would have to say this is a really beautiful Iroc. Blue is my second chose of color on a Iroc. Yellow will always be my favorite!
I would love to own this Iroc, wish i had the money would buy it. Just don't know how I would get it all the way to Az. Good luck with your sale, keep your price firm, someone will come along and buy it

Sorry for your loss. Yes, I still have the car. It is under its cover in my garage for winter. Let me know if you would like to make arrangements to see it.

Re: 1989 IROC-Z
I bought them in 1990 from a speed shop in Kingston, NY. I think they might be GTS, but not sure. The center panel is clear to show the license plate, but the set also came with a blacked out center panel which I use at car shows. I just did a Google search for "Tail light covers for 1989 IROC" and a bunch of sites came up.

I am a serious buyer at some price, hopefully enough to make a deal with you. My car was garage kept, both at home and at our business & had no blemishes inside or out. I want to purchase one as close as possible to new condition. Since I would just travel up to buy your car without seeing it beforehand, let me ask you a few questions. Does it have any paint work? Does the paint show any abrasion from the mask? Is there anything else I should know about your car?

Re: 1989 IROC-Z
this thread is funny... as 3rd gen owners we want to claim out of pride that the prices for them are rising, but we are the first ones to shout "rip off" when we see a guy with a near mint car that is asking top dollar
can't have it both ways guys. Prices for the mint, low mileage cars are going up.

Re: 1989 IROC-Z
is your car a ultra low mileage, bone stock original, one owner car?
If not, your comment is rude, insulting, ignorant, and not appreciated or helpful
EDIT: I just saw your car. It's about as far away from original as you can get, and in my opinion, not at all desirable. People who jack up cars like you did shouldn't whine and cry when nobody wants to buy them off you when you are done ragging them out.
My apologies to the OP for the small hijack

Re: 1989 IROC-Z
The trend I've noticed is that with late 2nd gen and all 3rd gen car is that more original, low mile and well maintained cars are bringing good money. This is the time that all the people that had these cars or dreamed of these cars as kids can now afford them. The price on this car is not out of line for a car of this caliber. It is very rude for someone that has no intention of buying a car to come to a for sale section and actually post a negitive comment about a price. If one thinks a price is out of line I would suggest using a PM to voice your opinion. This is why I'm a huge fan of post only classifieds. Too many internet hotshots out there that think their opinion is the final word. I would say good luck to this seller but I dont think they'll need it. With a little advertising and maybe with the help of a broker I bet they'll get their price.

Re: 1989 IROC-Z
That is an absolutely amazing looking car with low miles and all the factory goodies to match. I see nothing wrong with the price for such a mint example. Good Luck!
