Kenwood Excelon KDC X715 troubles
So I pretty much have my Kenwood Excelon headunit wired up to my car, i just need to redo the wiring for the rear speakers. Anyway, my problem is, that it doesnt turn on. Heres the story on what it does and any help thereafter would be much appreciated.
I wired everything up(As far as i know, everything is correct) when i pluged the harnesses in, i turned the key to the ON position. The faceplate moves up to where it would "Close" but instead once it gets half way up that, it goes back down and shuts off. I press the power button and it does nothing. In order for me to get it to budge again, I have to unplug the harness from the rear of the unit, then re-plug it. Turn the key blah blah... The one time it did turn on, it flashed something about a code for a split second, and then the display read ALL OFF, and i pressed the power/source button to try to switch it to CD or Radio, but instead of doing anything like that, it turned itself back off. Since that one time, I have been unable to get it to do that again, where i will try to press the FM button, or hit Eject since i believe there is a CD in there currently.
And as I've said, to my knowledge, the wiring is correct;
Orange = Illum.
Red = Ignition
Black = Ground
Yellow = Constant
There are a few other colors that are hooked up other than the speaker wires, but I am terribly uneducated when it comes to this stuff.
Thanks.

Okay, i might have found the problem, but im not sure how to solve this one...
The Red wire on the Kenwood harness was wired to an orange wire from the Crutchfield system box thing...but the only reason that i had it that way was because when i was starting to rewire the thing, there was what was left of a red wire from there..figured that would work; Guess i was wrong.
I searched for a strictly red wire, but the only one i found was one that is a one wire plug, which goes into a 2 grey wire plug that seems to be connected to the antenna.
I really dont feel like ****ing with this anymore I think im just gonna have one of my old bosses from Circuit City check it out for me when iget it tagged.
Unless someone can help me out and possibly had the same problem before...maybe supply me with a wiring diagram?
Its a fairly decent optioned car, minus the 2 speed wipers, no tilt/cruise, no power options...other than that its decent like i said. Is there any possible chance that someone has a Bose CD Unit that would work, has RCA pre outs in the back, and wouldnt midn seperating with for a small price? lol
Long post short;
Found a bad wire
Cant fix said bad wire
Need Wiring Diagram
Anyone have a Bose CD Radio?
I like almonds.

Nah, no warranty, picked it up off my friend for a cheap price, but it worked when it came out of the car.

Just as an FYI, Pioneer used two harness that would fit that unit. One is white, on is blue, you need the blue one even though the white one will fit and is a Pioneer harness. If you use the white one the radio will say mute all the time. Or re-pin the white one.

Model # would help. Is it the DEH-P47dh? 1-800-421-1404 for Pioneer parts. It'll run $15.00-$25.00 bucks or so, but it'll be new.

I bought a Pioneer DEH-P7200 off of one of my other friends for 150.., had to semi fix the antenna plug. So the radio isnt too clear, gotta stop up at my old work(Circuit City) and get them to fix it since i know the guys at the install bay.
I dont even listen to the radio much as it is..
I'm also gonna buy a 12" Rockford Fosgate HX2 from one of my friends for 100 bucks so i just gotta build a box and get an amp. I sorta need insurance on the car though...
