4th gen radio wiring harness schematic
I have picked up from the junkyard nearly the entire harness for a 95 bose system with individual amplifiers at the door speakers, along with a 97 bose system with the amplifier the powers all the speakers. Found the wiring schematic for the '95, does anyone have the wiring schematic for the '97 by any chance. I want to bench test the unit so i can throw the entire system into my firebird. Anyone that can help me with this would be greatly appreciated!

hey man, i found a schematic for a 98 camaro. I work at a dealership, thats as far back as computer goes. Its radio option UZ7. only one i could find with external amp. If you could find the option code for the radio we'll know if its right. Not sure how i can send it, but let me know if you think it will help you out and ill try and send it somehow.

Re: 4th gen radio wiring harness schematic
Yea i narrowed it down to the Monsoon one amp setup as apposed to the individual bose amps. Although the car had a 4th gen bose sub in the back, so thats what threw me off. If you can send me the schematic from a '98 that would be great, i found a schematic, unknown in year, and right now i'm getting bass noise throughout every speaker, and some sound odd, so i think i may have wired it wrong, or need to re-look at some things. If you can figure it out, even the best high quality picture you can take would be useful. If it's a PDF, try and see if you can search the computer for the file, as i'm sure it's a folder of all the PDF files just for each model car per year.
As far as what i've got, i would be using a 1999 Firebird CD player, of which i already did the research, the bose system had the low level inputs, but the monsoon did like a pre-amp and used a normal regular head unit that produced high level outputs that went into the amp. So all together it would be a 1999 Firebird CD player head unit and the monsoon amp, and depending on which hits harder, the bose sub in the back, or two 2ohm rockfords in the back somewhere. I also know about the mixture of 2 ohm and 4 ohm speakers, and where 4th gens are limited to the selection they can find in 6 1/2", third gens have a lot more options when it comes to our car speakers. So basically, i've figured out the system, and the lay out, i just need a wiring schematic to confirm that i have wired it correctly and see whats what. Thanks so much!

not even positive that the amp is in good working order, so i prefer not to pay for something i'm not sure i can even use. Thank you though.

Re: 4th gen radio wiring harness schematic
Is the radio out of a pontiac or camaro? I'm seeing two different schematics for each.

Re: 4th gen radio wiring harness schematic
I know the monsoon amp wiring is different between pontiac and camaros. Pontiac's Headunit powers the tweeters i believe, but the camaro's amp power's everything. But i will be using a pontiac radio and a camaro amp, so the wiring should be froma 1998 Camaro if you can. Thanks so much!

I think I figured out how to send it to you. I'm not sure how to post a picture on here, can I have your email address? Either PM me or put it on here. I'm pretty sure it's what your looking for.

How do that schematic work out for you? Was it the right one?

Re: 4th gen radio wiring harness schematic
Yup, it's the correct one, i just need to get a power source and i can test the system out. It's a pain not having 2 ohm speakers to make sure it sounds good, but other than that, it's the correct one after checking all the wires out. Thanks so much!
