yea i just wanted to make sure before i order everything ill need so i dont have to pay another 7.50 for shipping and wait another 10 days for something that costs 10 bucks
the carb kit that i got is made by sorensen, and it looks like it has a guage included, (its a cardboard L with measurements on it)
do you know if that would be sufficient?
or is that for something else

I think you would have better chances of success if you get the gauge kit with the Candy Cane Tool. It can be done without. But I can tell you from experience that I would rather do it once than over and over to get it right. Do you have a GM Shop Manual. It has a excellent carb adjustment section.

I also would recommend you to do a Search on "dwell" in the Carburetors fourm. There is a lot of great info on tuning the Q-jet in here.

im starting to panic becasue my car is not starting at all and its been sitting for a week and a half and i really want/need to drive it and i am leaking fuel from the carb, should i jsut abandon the rebuild and just put a new gasket on the air horn becasue now i wont be able to get the special measuring tools and i dont want to make things worse then they were before
the carb was a remanufacture 2 years ago and when i pulled off the airhorn for the TPS, the gasket even looked pretty new, but when i reused it it leaked bad
so what would you do

Then go without the 370 kit. The #7002003 CCC carb sockets are the essentials. There should be instructions in the rebuild kit. You got the Roe book. Go for it! Buy a dwell meter from Autozone. It won't stop leaking on its own.

Not really the best place for small orders, but they were the only ones I know of that still have the gauge set in stock.
Have you tried NAPA with the part #s that phess11 posted?

halloweenz28,
Looking through my toolbox, I found spares for two out of the three tools in the 370 kit - the "candy cane" tool and the small ruler for setting m/c plunger travel. Yours if you want 'em - send me a PM with your address and I'll drop them in the mail this evening.
