*NEW* Demon Street Carb

I was reading through Hot Rod today and noticed in their aftermarket section that Demon has released a new spreadbore-style carb. Pretty cool I thought.

I've checked out Demons Website.

From what I can tell this carb looks really nice:
1) Spreadbore design
2) 625 cmf with vacuum secondaries
3) electric choke

I've searched the interwebs and have found nothing regarding opinions, tests, etc presumably due to how new they are. Has anyone here have any opinions regarding the Street Carb?

Personally I'm not a fan of how shiny it is, but that's just me.

It's not "vacuum" secondaries, it's "air valve" secondaries. There's a difference.

Having a TPS option is pretty cool. You could put one of these on in place of a CC q-jet and keep the CC distributor and all other computer functions. Not sure why you'd want to do that, but you could.

My bad on the secondaries.

However, I did not see the TPS option. Very, very interesting....

It looks like a modern version of a Carter Thermoquad.

Re: *NEW* Demon Street Carb

It looks pretty sweet. It sounds like it works in a similar fashion to the Q-jet carbs. But I am wondering if they would ever make it available with higher flow capacity. It seems like 625cfm limits it to very mild low revving small blocks. Might be good on Tow rigs too.
