Symptoms of bad ECU ground?
My car's still acting totally crazy. I got my custom chip and it still doesn't work. I can't get the ALDL scanner to scan and I can't get the car to start. It's spraying so much fuel on start up that it's drowning the engine. I've tried the stock chip and the custom chip and it does the same thing with both of 'em. Does this sound like a bad ECU ground? How on earth do you check for a bad ground? Any other possibilities?

Ground the ALDL and look for the code 12. I am assuming since the scanner doesnt connect, you are getting no code 12.
Make sure you have no missing or bent pins on the ECM where the chip goes. If that doesnt work, could be that the ECM is toast. Check the ground for the ECM (theres more than one) and make sure its ok.
