engine to firewall ground strap
I've looked around and can't find anything. I am wondering what the importance of the engine to firewall ground strap is and besides ground what is its purpose. The reason I ask is I am having a problem with my charging guage jumping around and the although is charging at a little over 14v. I never put this ground on and want to drive the car to work for inspection in am.

Car will likely still run because there are alternate paths that connect the body to the engine. Can't tell exactly what will and will not work with a shaky ground. But it's much better to give electricity the easy path through the ground strap.
