remote solenoid starter for v6.. no suppression diode??

Okay guys I have a 91 camaro rs which has the hot start problem. I bought the jegs remote solenoid from this link http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/10301/10002/-1 But if you go down and read the details it says you CANNOT instal this on a computer controlled car? It says it will cause damage, because it has no suppression diodes. Is this
true? Did I waste my 25$ on this? Plead help!

Re: remote solenoid starter for v6.. no suppression diode??

I know that adding a remote solenoid will solve my problem. I just need to know what kind of diodes I should bridge the solenoid with... I got that idea from a different website, it said to jump the two screws on the solenoid with a diode (see http://www.suregripcontrols.com/install_suppress.htm ) but im still confused? Is it talking about jumping the two screws or like the side with positive from the battery, and the other screw on the other side? Can someone just clarify this with me... im not too knowledgeable about this kind of stuff.
