How to identify a '94 LT1?
I was unable to get the links in the lead message to work. So can someone tell me how to identify an LT1 engine in a '94 GM vehicle?

They generally look like that, but typically black where u see blue, and no big giant filter stuck to the end of the MAF, oh yeah, expect to see only the front half of the engine, as the other half is inside the car

Hmm, i'll try to help.
93, didn't have a maf
95 had a vented opti-spark, and 94 didn't (not 100% sure)
96-97 had obd2 computers, the ALDL will look different I belive.
Those are the only visual clues which I can think of.

Yea, these guys are correct. Easiest way for me to tell is count the number of tailpipes. 1 = V6 2 = V8
Assuming the exhaust is stock. If not, pop the hood and take a look. I'm pretty sure the engine code is P though.
