What does everyone think of flowtech Afterburner?

I was browsing through a summit catalog last night and i came across this flowtech muffler..."Flowtech afterburners combine optimum performance with awesome sound. The huge flow tubes provide maximum horsepower, while sound tuned chambers create a powerful sound without resonance. Plus, the fully welded alumized case will provide you with mnay miles of trouble free performance." It says its a holley performance brand and since holley been around for a hundred years i hope it would be good. So my question is, has anyone heard/used these before? Good power gains/torque? since its 50 bucks it might be worth checking out. Thanks alot.

I had a set on my car when I had the dual 3" on it. They sounded pretty awesome but were crazy loud, with dual 3" that is expected. I would reccomend them.

heres a stout LS1 with flowtech afterburners. I kinda like it. has a aggressive sound to it. LOL

really? do you have music match jukebox player?

click on the link and then go to your jukebox player and it should listed in there under your music library.

Else, copy the shortcut and paste in in "open URL" in windows media player. should play there.

yes flowtech is a holley brand but remember they also give us those million dollar headers for our cars to. you know those 90 dollar headers that are like gold.

Someone care to comment on the sound level?

According to some reading I've been doing, there seems to be a 3 db difference at idle between dynomax and flowtech.

I'm hazy on my science but recall hearing somewhere that the difference has to be at least 3db for the ear to even be able to tell the difference.

Someone set me straight?

ok whille the subject of headers is up, does anyone know of any companies that make longtubes for 3rd gen cars? I might be doing an LT1 swap in mid winter and i need ones that would fit that, would headers for a 350 3rd gen fit? also will they bolt up to the LT1?

just installed a flowtech "terminator" sounds great!!! much more mellow than a flow 80 series. quite loud when you stand on the gas. i got the 2 1/2 in and out, they also offer a 3" in and out. cost $80 at advanced auto.

I believe that every 3dB more is about twice as loud.

That's quite noticeable.
