Real carbon fiber t-top headliner
I was thinking of making a real carbon fiber t-top headliner for my t/a and was wondering if anyone out there would be interested in one too. I am talking about using my great shape original to make the mold so everything will fit correctly, too.

Sure, everyone's interested.
Then find out how many are interested when they see the price.
T- top headliners are expensive to ship too, as well as easily damaged.
However, I'm prob one of the few that actually would pay good money for it, so lets see it!

Re: Real carbon fiber t-top headliner
I'm interested to see what it would look like, but not sure it would look good in my particular interior. I think it would look completely out of place in anything but a black sail panel plastic car.
Make it for yourself, post pics. If it looks great, PM's will fly about making more. I'm sure.

How " flexable " is cf? The original backer board is very flexable so IMO
take extreme caution when you get set up.
Yup just my
I would hate to see you spend hours & $$ to find out there are a few twists or unwanted dips & bends when you get to the installation!
Great idea that's been tossed around but not followed through.
Best of luck & following...

Trying to get money saved up to get this project underway, that always seems to be the hardest part of any project for me anyways. When I get everything lined up and started I will post pics of progress.

And about the warping problem, that shouldn't be an issue as I weas going to make the mold of it while it is still mounted in the car. FYI.

Re: Real carbon fiber t-top headliner
Who wouldn't love more CF parts for their car? Thing I've noticed is everyone talks about it and complains about the cost. Do you want the part....Yes or No..... No one cares about your beer budget. No one cares about reading through 30 pages of complaints to see if the piece in question actually exists. Stop being a bunch and cry babies and "tire kickers" and say yes or no if you're interested and leave it at that. Now, with that being said, I would seriously be interested in CF parts of any kind. Get it, build it, buy it. Show some quality high res pics and post info on how to get it and let the dreamers and doers be separated!

Well I just got laid off again, and funds are now being diverted to bills. Whenever I get a different job I will get this project back under way.

If someone one who spells common wrong is your entertainment of the day, you truly lead a pathetic life.
