My Build Thread

Several people have asked me for some more details on my car, and since I am in the middle of redoing everything I figured I would start something to show what is happening.

Re: My Build Thread

Decided the 7.5 rear end was on its last legs, and not wanting to drop the coin to put a ready to go bolt in 9" in the car I decided to build one myself.

This rear was originally for a G-Body, I cut off all of the mounts, fit it under the car and shortened it to an overall flange to flange of 56.5"

The mounts I installed are from Racecraft, with a Currie Enterprises Torque arm adapter.

Founders performance for panhard, and LCA's.

Re: My Build Thread

Of course with shortening the axle, I had to do some surgery to the rear wheel tubs.

Re: My Build Thread

Been a few weeks since I have updated with any pics, here is what has been happening with the car since that time.

[IMG][/IMG]

Dash bar, a pillar, windshield bar, door bar, and sill bar all tacked into place. Door bars will be coming out for now while I complete the tin work inside.

Re: My Build Thread

OK, well not much to update lately, I have been gone from home for work, and only get about 3 hrs a week to work on the car. I am trying to finish cleaning up the rear tub area, and make my templates for wheel tubs (alum). Once I get one in I will try and get some more pictures up.

Re: My Build Thread

New moser axles, spool, and 5/8 studs. Don't really need that big of a stud, but fiigured I might as well do it at this time.

Hopefully I will have some pics of the tinwork, and cage completed in the next few weeks.

Re: My Build Thread

Ok, so its been a LONG time since my last update.

Work has been crazy, and time to work on it has been marginal, but I did get it all together and fired up for the first time last night. Hopefully I will get it on the lift this week and be able to throw some pics up of the finished car with some new suspension parts.
