Rims - Convo Pro's on a IROC-Z?

Hi.
About rims, Center Line Convo Pro, 15in.

Any of you have any experience with Convo Pro's on a IROC-Z?

Do they have any 15in-size that would fit?

How about this:
Front: 215/60/15 (15in x 6in)
Back: 245/60/15 (15in x 8in or 15in x 8,5in ?)

Any suggestion?
Thanks for any help!

Welcome to Thirdgen!

I run them at the track on my Formula. 15x8.5, with 5" B/S in the rear, and 15x4 in the front. I would not use them on a driver though. One pothole, and they will be trashed.

8.5s would be better in the rear, IMO. Make sure you get the correct B/S, or they will look out of place.

Thanks "brutalform"!
As I can see ( Centerline Wheels ) theres only one current BS at 15x8,5 rims. BS=5".
Would Weld Pro Stars be a better choice, or are they the "same" strength?

Raven90IROC, what is your rim size front and back? Any rubbing?
And what is your suspension setup (springs) ?

Thanks.
Nice cars you have!

IIRC, Weld wheels are a bit lighter than the Convos, and they are available with 5.5" B/S, which is better for our cars than 5". I was going to get Welds but I liked the Convo design a little better, so I went with those instead.

Thanx mate I am running 8.5" convo-pro's with 28 x 9.0 x15 slicks Traction IS an issue but I have trouble running a bigger tyre as the arch comes down so hard on launch it tends to hit anything bigger

My Draglites are 15x8 with a m/t 26x10.5, but this tire on an 8 inch rim is only about 9 inches wide, I want to put a bigger tire size like a hoosier QTP 27x11.5,but i'm not sure if the tire will fit.

As I can see from Center Line's web site, Convo Pro's can be ordered at this size/backspace:
15x8.0" --> BS 4.5"
15x8.5" --> BS 5.0"
15x9.0" --> BS 6.5"

Right?

So if I want Convo's 15x8.5"-bs5 is the way to go?

Prostar and Draglite can be ordered as 15x8"-bs5.5 I think.

Hard to decide what to choose... Convos, Prostar or Draglite...

Anyway, Thanks for all replys!

IMO id go with the draglites...They're just real good looking and on a camaro im sure it would look a hell of a lot better.
