Symptoms of a bad running TBI?

I just wanna give myself a heads up if it was to happen....which hopefully it will not

How expensive is it to clean or tune the TBIs themselves?

I may uprgrade my TBI, the car has been acting kinda weird lately.

Last night when I was out, the car was spazzing at idle, like it would maintain the idle speed but the car would just be like spazzing out basically....and then this morning on the way to work....it was silky smooth, NOTHING no feeling at all....

Very smooth on the way back too...

It felt almost like the car was gonna stall last night, I have no idea whats going on...

Towards the bottom of the injectors there's a screen where the injectors take in the fuel. The screens wrap all the way around the injectors. Those screens are usually what get clogged with corrosion in older and infrequently used vehicles. All you really have to do is take the injectors out and spay the screens with TBI cleaner or carb cleaner and wipe them a bit. I've seen some really corroded injectors fix up nicely like this. In the worst case you might have to soak the injectors in the cleaner for awhile.

If the injectors are clogged you'll see it in a sproradic and "drippy" fuel spray. When they're operating correctly the fuel spray will appear as a perfect conical mist.

I wouldn't worry about it in any case, cause you can get used TBIs cheap as dirt ...they're often on ebay for less than $10 for the entire unit.

I've never seen them for $10 ?!?! What keyword(s) are you using on ebay to find those treasures.

as long as they are out install a delco or aftermarket rebuild kit which includes new screen(s) and all the gaskets. if you want to go all the way they can be cleaned/inspected professionally. i assume you would send them out. new GM i believe are about $90-$100 each or again aftermarket. and there is the junk yard. this is injectors only. there is also the IAC to clean, new gasket, and inspect throttle shaft bushings for wear.
