Charcoal Canister Removal

Charcoal Canister Removal
OK so here's my question... And yes I did use the 
From what I've seen in the previous threads it is possible to remove the Charcoal Canister/EVAP system by simply capping off the vacuum line to the TB, capping the line from the tank, and putting a vented gas cap. I have also seen where people have said they have put a small filter on the line from the tank and used the normal gas cap.
My question is, if I delete the Charcoal Canister/EVAP system am I going to throw a check engine light?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

It will not set a code.Yes you can put a little filter on the return line and use your regular gas cap.Gas can evaporate out and cause you some m ileage I`ve heard.I havent noticed a differance.I heard removing the egr can cause you some mileage,didnt notice that either.However I only drive my car about 6000 miles per year and when I do I drive it aggressivly,so mileage isnt what I bought my car for.BTW,make sure you plug all vacume lines.

I just used a cheap 3/8 caburator fuel filter.

Hi my lines to the canister were super dry rotted so i just took the canister out and left the lines open my question is do i need to use a fuel filter and connect the line from the tank to the line that goes to the intake to be burned on a tpi?

this was from the link kevin gave someone asked that questions here is what was replied.
And to answer your question: No. There are very carefully designed pressures and vacuums involved to make this system work. If you just hook full engine vacuum to your tank, you'll have major problems. There's a little valve in the top of the tank that maintains a little bit of pressure in there too. Trust me, you want all that to work right. I've swapped fuel tanks and it's a nightmare if that stuff is not working. Oh, and there's a little valve thing for your tank to "inhale" with attached to a bracket behind where the rear driver side seat is. It's the only part you cannot buy new, so take care of it. Someone on here posted a way to disassemble and fix it if needed.

I was thinking doing that but using a much smaller vacuum hose to compensate so how much it would vacuum out is limited if that makes sense.. reducing the line size to real small. after the filter. they have line reducers.

Bypassed mine a while back. No service engine light, no real odors. Do notice some roughness at idle in gear. I've read that the ECM is programmed to ignore the vacuum draw through the filter which it would otherwise see as a lean condition and add extra fuel, so now there is no lean condition so is pulling fuel out instead. Not a real problem though.
