I have a stock 87 350 TPI, rockers are 1.5 stock.
Would the 1.6 make somewhat of a diff, meaning is it worth the money?
What stud size would I need if I were to consider this?

"Somewhat of a difference" is a pretty good way to put it. "Worth it" is probably not a good way to put it.

The rockers are available for both 3/8" and 7/16" studs. You don't have to change studs to change rocker ratio. That's more about high spring rates and high RPMs, rather than rocker ratio.

You'll get more benefit out of a full roller rocker like Comp Pro Magnums than just a change from 1.5 to 1.6. But, that again probably doesn't fit in the "worth it" category.

yea you wont see much of a diff but get full roller 3/8 stud 1.6 ratio self align be shure there self align i think only jegs and perform and i think comp make a set of the self align .

no kind of roller rocker will clear the stockers i had to get a set from jegs they were 100 bucks and look pretty damn good plus there aluminum look at my pics and youll see them

Wouldnt be worth it to me on a stock motor.

If you do though and you put alot of miles on the car, go with the Comp Cams steel ones. Aluminum will break eventually.

Not true. I run Comp Cams 1.5s and they clear the stock valve covers with a little trimming to the valve cover center bolt support.

Going from 1.5 to 1.6 rockers will give you some extra power. It's like putting in a slightly bigger cam without all the work. Going with a roller tip vs full roller depends what you're planning on doing with the car. Your factory studs should be 3/8.

The roller tip rockers will fit under your valve covers and are good for mild applications. I ran a set for 70k miles & they were still in great shape.


The full roller rockers are for more high performance use and have more clearance issues (valve covers, springs, pushrod length).

Honestly just trying to free up some more power with what I got.
Im almost at my sweet spot with my car, I think with a few more simple mods and tweaking I will be pleased.
Just mainly for cruising and take to the track once in while.
