vortec heads are just center bolt heads with better ports and chambers- so, yes, they will fit as long as you use low profile rockers with low profile lock nuts like the LT4 rockers that you can get from GM.

Height is easy.
THe problem comes when you try to get rockers that the "tube"-like thingies on that kind of VCs, that the bolts go down through, will fit between. Only VERY narrow-body rockers will allow that.
Bummer altogether.

The only ones that fit stock VCs without modification, at least used to be, the Crane special ones. GM themselves sued to sell them. They were aluminum though; not the smartest thing in the world to drive on the street, in any service more severe than Sunday afternoon Vette club meetings; marketed to be sold to Vette owners who wanted to be able to stick their noses a little higher in the air than the other Vette owners and sniff about "I've got {fill in the blank} and you don't" even though they have never seen or touched them and haven't the vaguest clue what they do and as long as they get to act superior every now and then, don't mind taking their car back to the "shop" and "having" the "mechanics", Pete and Re-Pete, do it again.
Not for people who actually (a) drive their cars, or (b) want their cars to work better, or (c) want to do it once, move on, and never re-visit it again.
I'd recommend Comp or Crower steel-body roller-trunnion rockers, crush the tube-ey features of the stock VCs enough for them to fit without rubbing, and dispense with the waste of money on those other VCs. Focus on function instead of wasting money on "appearance".
