TPI MAP sensor VS LT1 MAP sensor

Is the TPI MAP sensor the same as the LT1 MAP sensor? I have several LT1 MAP sensors and am converting from MAF to speed density. Hopefully I can just use the LT1 MAP sensor. Anyone know for sure?

Same Same. Some have little plastic keyways. But they are the same internally.

I've heard that some MAP sensors are different...such as the Syclone and Typhoon. That's why I asked. The MAP sensor on my 1997 Sonoma looks exactly like the LT1 MAP sensor I have. I don't plan on using that one, but it was an observation.

Thats because they were forced air induction and used a 2 bar map.

Re: TPI MAP sensor VS LT1 MAP sensor

The looks of them were nearly identical of most MAP sensors from V6 up to the LT1, the difference (other than how the map sensor went into the intake with the gasket on the LT1) is mainly the plug. There were minor changes with the "alignment" tab inside. I can't help you with TPI to LT1 MAP sensors, but make sure that the plug is actually identical and that it plugs in, because i tried a few map sensors out of junkyard cars and couldn't get one to work mearly because the tab inside of the sensor didn't line up with the plug, and i didn't know enough about them of whether i could destroy the tab to make it plug in. Hope this helps a little.
